What is the JOBS Bus?

The JOBS Bus is a service from Lextran that makes it much easier for employees to get to and from work during late-night hours when normal bus service is unavailable. This service is perfect for night and early morning shift workers. It will be listed as Route 22 for the Nicholasville Rd JOBS Bus and Route 29 for the Citation Blvd JOBS Bus.

How do you use the JOBS Bus?

The JOBS Bus service is a subscription service for individuals who work late night shifts and live within a Lextran fixed route. Approved riders are picked up at a bus stop nearest their home within minutes of specified times and delievered to a designated stop near their work destination.

Lextran approves applications based on their matches to applicants' needs. Priority is given to reservations based on the number of trips requested per week and the ability to combine trips with others requested. Applications can be obtained from your supervisor/human resoruces manager and must be completed and returned to the same person.

Route and Service Area

The JOBS Bus provides service along Nicholasville Road from the University of Kentucky Medical Center to Walmart on Man-O-War Blvd, and in the Citation Blvd area (more information below).

Fare

Adults: $1.00

Youth: $.80

Persons with disabilities and seniors: $.50

Transfers: FREE

Various passes are available.

All passengers must be pre-approved.  Download the appropriate application below.  You may also call 859-255-7756 to request an application, or pick up a form at 109 W. Loudon Ave or at the Transit Center (200 E. Vine St).  Approved passengers will be notified by phone and mail. Please allow 7-10 business days for approval.
