Background Check

You may request a criminal record report in person by drive-thru window at the Administrative Office of the Courts, 100 Millcreek Park, Frankfort, KY. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm except on state observed holidays.   Cost: $15.00

AOCFastcheck is a new process that will greatly reduce the time required to provide criminal record reports. You can submit requests for criminal record reports and receive and email notification when the results are available.

Driving History

This website allows anyone to request Driving History Records for Kentucky drivers. Driver status, license expiration, driving restrictions, and traffic violations will be contained on the record. Cost: $5.00.

B-Mechanic

Posted: October 18, 2011

This position reports to the Director of Maintenance and/or Maintenance Foreman and performs the following:

1. Operates brake lathe, welders, bus lift, and various other types of shop equipment

2. Complete brake service. Must be familiar with both S cam and wedge air brake systems

3. Assist A-Mechanic in the maintenance and service of R12/R22 high pressure air conditioning systems

4. Electrical repairs/troubleshooting using bus schematics, wiring diagrams, and various test equipment

5. Maintain and repair suspension, steering, and drive line components

6. Road calls and bus changes as necessary

7. Preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment

8. Other duties as assigned

An individual must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have a mechanical background, one to two years in heavy diesel maintenance. Vocational training may be subsitituted for one year of experience. Must have good work record, effective verbal and written skills, and be in excellent physical and mental health. A Commercial Driver License is required. Must perform successfully on all tests if administered. Must pass USDOT physical and drug screen.

Bus Operator

This position reporets to the Director of Transportation and is responsible for operating transit coach safely and timely over scheduled routes.

An individual must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have good driving record. Good public relation skills are needed. Must have ability to obtain a Class C Commercial Driver License. Must pass a USDOT physical exam and drug screen.

Customer Service Representative

This position reports to the Director of Community Affairs and is responsible for communicating schedule and bus route information to customers, selling fare media, and making IDs as required.

An individual must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have ability to read maps, interpret schedules and be well acquainted with the Lexington area. Service Worker

• Fuel and check fluid levels on equipment
• Wash and clean coaches and other company vehicles
• Janitorial duties related to Lextran facilities
• Perform minor mechanical duties such as checking tires and adjsuting air pressure, changing bulbs and lenses, check batteries, jump start buses, and minor repairs.
• Road calls and bus changes as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Prefer a high school diploma or equivalent. One year experience in minor vehicle maintenance and cleaning preferred. Must have good work and driving record, effective verbal and written communication skills. A Commercial Driver License is required. Must pass USDOT physical and drug screen.
