December 2011 Service Changes

Route Reductions

• Route 26 Lakeshore/Alumni Drive: The last day of service is Friday, December 9^th, 2011.

o   Since March 2011, just 3,582 passengers have utilized this route—an average of 21 per day.

• Route 28 KY Horse Park: The last day of service is Saturday, December 10^th, 2011. 

o   Since March 2011, 158 passengers have utilized this route.

Route Additions

Route 31 Alexandria Crosstown* (effective Dec. 12^th) with service planned for the following areas:

 Route will operate Monday-Friday, 5:50 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. and  2:15 p.m. – 6:43 p.m.

•   Nicholasville Rd. between Rosemont Garden and Virginia Ave.
•  Virginia Ave. between S. Limestone & S. Broadway
•   S. Broadway/Harrodsburg between Virginia Ave. and Lane Allen
• Lane Allen/Alexandria between Harrodsburg and Versailles Rd.
•   Versailles Rd. to Alexandria, via Oxford Circle/Village Dr.
•   Alexandria/Lane Allen between Versailles and Harrodsburg Rd.
•  Rosemont Garden between Harrodsburg Rd. and Nicholasville Rd.

Changes to Holiday Service

•   Lextran currently operates on a Saturday schedule on the following holidays:  Memorial Day, 4^th of July, and Labor Day.
•   Effective Memorial Day 2012, service will follow a Sunday schedule for Memorial Day, 4^th of July, and Labor Day.
